Pilates is a whole body, low impact conditioning form of exercise that places great emphasis on beginning movement from a central core of stability and combining it with an awareness of breath, concentration, control, precision and flow. It is a mind-body technique that promotes strength, mobility, flexibility, endurance, balance, body awareness and relaxation.
